MAÏA Dress Clutch Sewing Pattern

Maïa, the dancing muse… inspired by the ballerina Maïa Plisetskaïa, a major artist of the Ballets Russes company, this dress is a little gem full of details. The delicate flat pleats of the skirt, the bust yokes, the cutout at the waist, and above all the wow effect of its puffed sleeves, the pattern offers you the possibility of making a dress with a spectacular look. But Maison Fauve is the desire to live with its cousettes in all circumstances, so the model is designed for a more sensible dress: straight sleeve version, with or without buttoning in the front, we support you whatever your desires and your level.

The seam allowances are 1 cm and are included in your pattern.

Sewing level:

intermediate easy for the version without button placket, advanced for the version with front button placket.

Choice of fabric:

cotton such as poplin or light cotton satin, viscose crepe, viscose twill, fine wool, fine and supple jacquard, English embroidery, plumetis, silk velvet, lace...the choice of fabric will determine the more or less accentuated volume of the sleeves puffy, and the flexibility of the lower part under the folds.

Supplies :

The pattern allows you to sew either a dress or a blouse. For each one you can choose to sew sublime puff sleeves or more sensible straight sleeves. And depending on the desired effect, you can sew the more technical buttoned front of version 1 (V1) or the simple pleat cut front for version 2 (V2).
